We're getting some respect. The point spread is only 5.5! Where did you see that?… I’m surprised it’s that low. |

11-10 Kansas, 5 mins in. But KD with 2 fouls already. The second one was avoidable… can’t let that happen. |

31-28 Jayhawks at the half. Bad news: KD with 3 fouls Good news: Abbey’s confidence is sky high and Kansas is cold from the floor. If Kansas stays cold from 15+ ft, we have a good chance. |

Sports book lists it as 5.5. Data skrive tracks it as 72-67 Kansas. |

49-39 Jayhawks after the 3rd Qtr. Columbia went on an 8-0 run to start the quarter, but Kansas countered with a 15-0 run. The Jayhawks’ center got injured and was out for about 3-4 mins, but the Lions could not take advantage. The Lions need to get hot (obv). |

We just couldn't cope with their height inside. A major disappointment to what was otherwise a most honorable season. |

Congratulations Lady Lions on a great run. You’ll be back next year for a thrilling title run with the Tigers and the cantabs. |

Great game, especially considering KU got to play at home in one of the arenas with the biggest home court advantage in basketball. |

Congratulations to everyone associated with the Columbia Women's Basketball Program on an incredible year! Special congrats, of course, to Coach Griffith, for masterminding it all! |

Indeed, it was a good game, very evenly matched. Neither team shot great from the field, but if Columbia’s 3-pt shooting was just marginally better than 9 for 34 (26.5%) the game probably goes down to the final possession. KD getting into foul trouble in the first half was a killer too. |

KD getting into early fouls trouble (which has happened before) was huge. And the mediocre 3 point shooting also hurt. But Meg’s heartwarming presser was really one for the ages. So in her tenure we have gone from one of the absolute worst teams in the country to a team which can play with anybody. Peter Pilling, don’t ever say that coaching doesn’t matter. Please wake up and do what must be done to salvage our MBBprogram.

Good point, Chet… one thing I love about Griffith is that she seems fully committed to the program (knock on wood), although I imagine she’s getting calls from some P5 schools to rebuild their program. Of course, that’s what hurt the men’s program in 2016 when Kyle Smith bolted for USF after the CIT title run. |
