Columbia wins, 71-61. Hsu with 20, breaks IL career 3 pt record. Collins has 14. Riley Weiss bummed out a bit in her second game and went 0/4. Kitty Henderson is right--Fliss is going to be really good. MG wins 100th game. There is talent on this team, but they are clearly in the early stages of a work-in-progress. |

Some ugly moments tonight, specifically the turnovers that led to at least 5 breakaway layups for Seton Hall, but lots of positives too. Megan commented that Fliss plays like a seasoned veteran… couldn’t agree more. She looks comfortable attacking the basket… hard to believe this was only her 2nd game. Although Weiss had a rough night, I love the confidence she has in her shot. No doubt she’ll rebound from this one without a glitch. Very nice game from Lauder and Collins. Those two, plus Weiss, Hsu, and the Henderson sisters look like the best six right now. Although last year’s team looks much better at this moment, this team might have more depth… Comesana, Raifu, Stephens, and Page are all solid off the bench. And we’ve yet to see Tor, Cavto, and Sciolla. |

In a post-game press conference, MG said that by January, this team could be the best team ever. Better than last year? That is quite a remarkable statement! |
