This one will be a tall order for the Big Red. Both clubs are Quad-1 offensively, but the Bears are also Quad-1 defensively, while the Big Red is Quad-3.

Baylor leads the nation in 3pt% at 44.7%, while Cornell leads the nation in 2pt% at 65.3%. One would think this game will feature a good offensive show. We will see.

At the first media timeout, Baylor is up 12-10.

They played decently. That was a big momentum switch in the final possession or two, 16 point lead doesn't really tell you the kind of game it was out there.

Baylor surprisingly porous defensively in the middle. Cornell has really shown some pluck on offense

Of course, Baylor has been impossible to stop on the other end.

Cornell trails 58-42 at the half, with both teams hitting over 50% from the field. Let's see if they can keep it up for the final 20min.

This is a very athletic Baylor team. Their 7ftr is dominating, shooting 6-6 for 12pts. Bears shooting 8-19 from long range, near their season average.

Nazir Williams, looking like his old self, has 14. Cornell, right in character, is shooting 12-17 (70%) inside the arc.

Here we are with 7:30 left in the game. Cornell is down 77-67, having put a 13-0 run on the Bears, reminiscent of what they did to Colgate a couple times Saturday.

Cornell does not give up, no matter wherever and whenever they are playing.

They are going to be a tough out in Ivy play. I've been very impressed.

I think the high-speed style and habit is conducive to always playing hard.

Baylor stretches it out over the last 7min to win 98-79.

Now, to prepare for welcoming the Lions in the league opener for both clubs next Tuesday at Newman Arena.

Brian Earl is a great coach. I suspect they'll take a game from Princeton this year - just hope it's not the ILT. If Earl just had 1 POY caliber star to lean on, Cornell could be a legit darkhorse.

Earl is a very good coach and has found a great scheme. Not to flash forward past this season, but it will be interesting to see how it works next season with four key players.

Still don't see the Big Red having enough D to beat Princeton or even Yale consistently, but they could one at the right time. The games with Penn could be track meets with the first to 100 winning.
