They do not. Remember, Abby Meyers was a first round pick and didn't even make a roster. That said, there's always a chance. |

Many have argued that the lack of teams is hurting the WNBA's chances for growth. Players get drafted and their college fans are excited. But there's just not enough spots on the active roster so players get cut and is not able to bring in new potential fans. Tough cycle... |

Maybe the attention the women's game received this year in the NCAA tournament will galvanize interest in the WNBA but I am not so sure. Up to this year, the WNBA exists because the NBA subsidizes it. If people cared and bought tickets and watched on TV, there would be more franchises and higher salaries. |

I've taken my daughters to countless women's college basketball games (we are walking distance of a D-I school). But I have yet to take them to a WNBA game even though there is a franchise in our city. Will try to change that. |

I don’t believe Hsu or Davis participated in training camp this season… at least 10 of the 36 players drafted in 2024 did not make the opening day roster… and at least half of the 2nd rd picks got waived. With only 12 teams, there are simply not many roster spots available. Many recent 1st rd picks are not in the league any longer… the aforementioned Abby Myers (#11 overall in 2023), Bella Alarie (#5 overall in 2020), & Charli Collier (#1 overall in 2021) to name a few. |

This has been a problem for the WBNA for a while. There aren't enough teams to support a draft of three dozen new players every year. The incoming expansion franchise should make it easier for new players to make rosters. Hopefully more fan interest results in more expansion. |

I agree with you, but the future of women sports in the United States is highly uncertain given the political climate in Washington. Many persons are worried about the future of women sports at all levels. Hopefully, the Biden Administration will figure things out, but the situation is likely to worsen this summer with the Olympics. |

Hoping Harrison Butker is beaten out for his spot by a DACA protected female soccer player and Taylor Swift's resulting song not only tops the charts but includes a presidential race endorsement! Good Morning everyone. |
