Loyola's potential lineup is difficult to predict because of all the transfers, etc. However, I will assume it is the second half of the season. Here is my predictions:

PG: Shane James - might be the most consistent pg in the league after JJ (Marist)
SG: Gerald Brown - will score in bunches in this league
SF: Omari Israel - if he's half the player he was in HS as a top 50 player nationally, watch out
PF: Michael Tuck - the workhorse
C: Hassan Fofana - if he can improve even a little he will be a major factor in the MAAC

Coming off the bench for major minutes:

Utility Guards: Brett Harvey, Marquis Sullivan
Utility Forwards: Josko Alujevic, Sky Khaleel and Jawaan Wright

Also, I could see the Hounds going for speed and putting a lineup of James, Sullivan, Brown, Israel, and Tuck with Fofana coming in as an anchor later.

Is there anyone I forgot? Please let me know... looking forward to hearing from everyone!!!!

Thoughts?

I know Tuck hustles and I like him a lot in the lineup, but I really hope Sky and Wright force their way into a lot more minutes as the season goes on. As for Fofana that is a big IF, based on what I saw. It will be interesting to see how they do if he gets in foul trouble. I guess Tuck is the default C and we go fast.

I think Israel is a real key to this team. Brown will score, as you say, but we saw last year the limits of only having one go-to guy. Israel could be a great second option and together they could be a real nightmare to prepare for.

Yea, absolutely agree. I don't understand how people could be bashing a team of Big East and ACC transfers...granted they saw more bench than court, but I'd take a backup at those schools over anyone but maybe Scary Neal at Towson.

now that we've seen the roster, here are some thoughts:

PG: Shane James - still the incumbent and a senior
SG: Gerald Brown - might lead the league in scoring
SF: Omari Isreal - i've heard a few good things!
PF: Michael Tuck - the lunchpail guy who doesn't upset any chemistry
C: Hassan Fofana - just stay out of foul trouble and he impacts the league

Bench for minutes:

Guards: Marquis Sullivan, Tony Lewis, Brett Harvey
Forwards: Josko Alujevic, Jawaan Wright

That is a pretty darn good nine deep. I'm very VERY excited. Thoughts?

BTW: Joe Miles is the best player who can't play because he has to sit out a year. Will impact the roster in 07-08 for sure.

Not a bad team at all. I still wish we had more depth among the forward spots. Seems hard for me to imagine Fofana will not get in foul trouble, and when he does we are a small team. The good news is against some teams a small quick lineup might be a real killer.

Israel is going to be great. We just need to get him in the lineup. I guess Sullivan will get the starts until he is playing?

Or Jawaan Wright, depending upon improvement. PErsonally, based on last year, I go with Sullivan.
