Anytime Harvard really wants to be a power it can be a power in any sport. It will obtain a certain quantum of talent because it is Harvard and can adjust admission situations as needed to accomodate the rest. Nonetheless, Harvard in the winter is a Hockey-Wrestling school and a new coach should not believe that post the traditional honeymoon there will be the same support Murphy receives in football or that there is for wrestling or hockey or women's basketball where it is convenient to address a pool of players who can read and write only Dartmouth though frozen willchallenge because it has a tradition. Long term, the opening is a shimmering in the water, swim out to it and it will not be there. |
