Such an interesting article. I don't think there are too many Ivy league kids who have grown up in similar situations. Reynolds really does a nice job with this - as he's done in the past on Alai, Jaime, Earl, Pat and Mike Martin.

From the article: Jason had spent a year at a local high school, then followed his brother to De Matha, where he spent two years, on the jayvee team one year, not playing much on the varsity the next. In the basketball word, Joe Forte was a national figure. Jason Forte was his little brother. The next year his bother went to North Carolina and Jason transferred to a private school called The Heights School. There was a little more to the story: http://www.enquirer.com/editions/1999/01/07/spt_uk_recruit_bogans.html |

Not sure what your point is here, but yes, it's well documented that Keith Bogans and Jason - who were good friends - got into a fight when Jason was a junior in high school. From that article: "“What started as some good-natured kidding between Keith and Jason, as will happen with kids, deteriorated into a fight,” Wootten said."

Nothing against Jason. I didn't like the implication that Morgan Wootten and DeMatha were unfair to him or wanted him only while his older brother was there. |
