Brown dominates Yale in New Haven! I'm not predicting a title (yet) but it was a great win. Mullery was severely hobbled and number 2 scorer Peter Sullivan was hurt at the 7 minute mark of the first half and didn't play again, but Brown dominated. Contributions from Williams, particularly on D, Steve Gruber, Garret Leffleman and the Frosh. Game ball goes to Jesse Agel and T. J. Sorrentine. If we can play like this with some consistency, we will be in the top half. |

Congrats, OB. Great start to the Ivy season. If Mullery gets 100%, Brown will definitely do some damage in the league. Good luck against everyone but us. |

Brown should be in the top half this year. Just be aware, however, that this looks like the worst Yale team since James Jones became the coach. He should have taken another job after his famous tie for the title in what seems eons ago. Congrats though on a solid win. |

Yup, first Ivy road breakthrough of the year! Right on, OB. Good job by your Bears. It is offense that tends to win games. Brown is a very good offensive club that still struggles to play good defense and hit the boards. Against poor-shooting teams like Dartmouth, Yale, Penn, and Princeton (all under FG% 41.5%), this combination has a good chance to win games. 24-29 from the stripe in a season where ~11-17 has been their norm, was also key Fri night. Just as important for the league is that both Yale and Brown generally, as in this game, play at a pretty good pace. Two games like this in a weekend could wear down Cornell, Harvard, and particularly Princeton (and its very slow pace) on the weekends when they come calling. Together, Brown, or even Yale, would seem to have the tools to eke out one or more home wins over the three Ivy teams with the best pre-seasons. Good luck! |

I am most pleased by the depth Brown has shown. In a game where the most prolific scores (Mullary and peter Sullivan) played limited minutes, others stood up. This bodes well for two game weekends. |

I agree. This was really an impressive win given Mullery's limitations and Sullivan being out. Maybe the biggest difference between this year's team and last year's is more guys who are willing to take big shots. And a lot of that is the freshmen. I'm still disappointed at our performance in the 7-8 games prior to this one. But it's a very good start for league play. If they beat Yale at home, they'll have some momentum.
