Pitt shot 52%, including 9-17 from 3, and had 15 offensive rebounds to 11 Bucknell defensive rebounds, and still lost at home because they made only 9 of 20 foul shots and committed 18 turnovers. Bucknell shot 51%, but the difference was 14-16 from the line. Bucknell lost a 12-point lead, but at the end they got stops without fouling and drew fouls on their end and made the free throws.
To answer SFQ's question, Yes, I think Penn would have a prayer against Pitt. Hit your shots, get to the foul line, don't give up big runs, don't get killed on the boards, you have a prayer against anyone.
