In response to sparman
Looking at Cornell's coaching history, as well as its reputation as being unwilling to spend large sums of money on the basketball program, it always seemed likely that the school would go for an assistant coach.
Looking at assistant coaches, especially those with Ivy League experience, Andy Noel made a very solid pick with Brian Earl. However, it is surprising that former Cornell (and present Penn) Assistant Nat Graham did not come away with the job. Graham has more experience with that school and in that region when it comes to dealing with the AD and recruiting. Also, for those thinking that Earl will depart if the Princeton job opens up, Graham would seem to be more likely to stay for a longer period of time.
