Center David Onuorah did not make the trip, leaving Cornell front court without its leading rebounder. Forward Jordan Abdur-Ra'oof missed his second game of the season.

With just over 10 minutes in the first half, the Red held a 24-18 lead. The Saints then went on a 30-10 run to take a 48-34 lead at halftime.

By the 7:30 mark of the second half, Cornell got within 3 points, 67-64. Unfortunately for the Red, that was the closest the team got.

Cornell was led by forward Stone Gettings with 16 points and 4 assists. Matt Morgan scored 16, with 12 in the second half, to go along with 8 rebounds. Robert Hatter had a double-double with 12 points, 10 defensive rebounds and 4 assists. JoJo Fallas and forward first-year Josh Warren had 10 points each.

Siena's senior guard Marquis Wright had 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The team's leader forward Brett Bisping had a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds, 5 on the offensive end. Sophomore Nico Clareth had 14 points and Senior Javion Ogunyemi had 13 points, while dealing with foul trouble throughout the game.

The Red improved its offensive output from the opening game at Binghamton by shooting 7-19 from three (37%) and 45% overall (29-64). Although Siena had a bigger front court, Cornell outrebounded the Saints 41-38, including 14-13 on the offensive side.

Unfortunately, Cornell shot 59% at the free throw line (13-22), allowed its opponent to score 89 points, gave up 11 three pointers, committed 26 fouls and turned the ball over 14 times.
