Watched game on ILDN. Princeton Game summary. now 3-15. This was a winnable game(probably best team game we've played this year) but the same things that killed us in the first 17 games killed us again.

On the good news front we limited our turnovers tonight and came out very strong in the beginning of the first half. An ongoing and persistent issue is our defense down the stretch was really weak both end of first half and at crunch time in the second half. Too many easy buckets especially against Wright and Smith (both of whom I believe have professional spectators licenses. They stand around and watch.) We also got selfish on offense in the last 8 minutes going one on many, with Gillian Smith putting head down several times and driving without a kick out and missing open cuts. Our passing is slow and we miss open guys regularly. we seem more worried about dribbling around the rim than setting up a play.

Mike Fleming scored a career high 11 pts but he got abused on defense with faster bigger Princeton players. Time to make the move to Barry. He is our future and deserves the starting spot. Much better and consistent defender, can create and score. Its abysmal not to have any assists from the point guard spot. Can't win games that way.

Guilien Smith. No court vision. Not passing to open man (see a pattern here? EVERY GAME!). 10 pts, 4 T/O's, 0 assists. Its obvious (to viewers and the other team) when he makes the decision he is going to drive at all costs. Several teammates running through lane open, no pass. But he drives to middle and takes ridiculous shots in traffic. This is a consistent pattern and not sure why Mcglaughlin puts up with it? There's a reason why he sat most of last year.

C. Miles Wright: need more from him to win. Miles. 13pts, 5-12 shooting, 3 rebs, 1 asst. Got beat on defense and went behind screens (lazy) allowing 3 point shots mostly uncontested. Need him to step up on defense as this is pretty basic. He went to sleep on too many plays.

D. Wes Dickenson: 1 rebound, 2 points Why didn't Will Emery get into the game? We need to invest in the future. Ian Carter better length but gets lost on defense. Need to get more time for our freshman forwards on the floor as they are the future. Other than Evan no one is rebounding and we don't even go after most of the offensive boards.

E. Evan Boudreaux: The only consistent performer on the team. His 9th double/double of the year. 21 points on 8-14 fg, 57% from the floor, 3-6 from 3pt, 12 rebounds, 2 assts, 1 t/o. Wheres his help? 18 games into the season? He only had a few touches tonight. In crunch time he should have the ball. Not "head down no pass" Guilien. Team cannot get him the ball when he's open. Not sure why this isn't a focus as he is passing very well out of the double and triple teams and is very effective getting open as the shot clock winds down.

Time to invest in the future and make changes to who gets playing time. We need to make a statement on defense and if players let their man drive by them its time to sit them for freshman. Cam Smith is one of our quickest players and should get a chance to be a disrupter and defensive specialist. Cam is WAY BETTER than Fleming. Hell, the team manager is better than Fleming. We never press? Why is that? We let other teams come down court and set up their offense. Some improvement against Princeton, but we need to win games.

The Mcglaughlin honeymoon is over. He isn't getting it done. Period. Players making the same mistakes after 18 games. Fleming is still our point guard (major mistake). I think the game was 3-4 mins old and Fleming had already gotten two fouls and thrown the ball to the other team. His man ran by him almost every time. Mcglauglin: Barry, Barry, Barry!

Almost threw my controller through the TV a couple of times.....
