Time to begin planning for the two big games with Princeton and Penn next weekend whether the Lions are going to the Ivy Leagu Post-Season Tournament. Columbia has had some bad luck the last three games, but no one doubts that the Lions are a a very good basketball team and capable of defeating any Ivy League team including Princeton which we lost to by two points. Furthermore, despite the overtime loss last night, the Lions three best players--Petrasek, Smith and Hickman-- all appear to be peaking and are playing excellent basketball together. All three are terrific players. Furthermore, the Lion now have three more talented players--Tape, Coby and Voss- sharing the center position giving the Lions tremendous depth underneath the boards. Tape is an exciting player. Tape already plays the center position better than anyone Columbia has had in recent memory. Finally, Columbia now has another double digit scorer on the floor in Quinton Adlesh. When the combination of Smith, Hickman and Adlesh or Davis are on the floor Columbia can score points quickly. Hopefully, Meisner and Killingsworth will be healthy and ready to play next weekend.
