Victory Scholarships are given to both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The majority of PL athletes, including Starkey, have gone to the Republic of Ireland. Starkey studied in Galway at the National University of Ireland. A Holy Cross women's player is currently studying under that program at the Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland.
