Maybe as a non-Columbia guy it is easier to see it as important, but not a must win.
To me, Columbia could conceivably beat everyone but Princeton at home. And they will have a shot on the road against Brown, Cornell, and Dartmouth. Going 4-2 against those 3 could give Columbia a shot at 4th. And they could go 4-2 in those games while losing at home to Cornell. So I don't see it as the end of the world if Columbia loses this one.
