Dartmouth men's basketball was generally competitive in the 1980s and early to mid 1990s. No championships, but we finished in the upper division quite a bit in that era.
I grew up with those teams—they were entertaining and competitive. I'm just stating the fact that they never quite got over the hump to the promised land, though I believe they were within a missed James Blackwell free throw or two in 1990-91 or so.
