Getting back to the perimeter size theory, against Iona Columbia went big at the 3 spot the entire game. In other words, for all 40 minutes, they had 3 out of Tape, Nweke, Brumant, Jake, Hunter, Barba, and Ellis on the floor. Some of those guys are wings, but they are bigger than the 4 guards who have taken most of the perimeter minutes thus far.

I’m not sure fouls and fatigue will allow Columbia to consistently play 2 bigs, but it seems to me that, if only one big is on the floor, they should be playing 2 of the taller wings together at the 3 and 4 spots. For the last two games, they have done that, and they have two wins and some better Defense to show for it.
