#10- What I admire most about your Coach Donahue is his humility; he's worked hard, consistently; clearly amassed a ton of knowledge in 35 years of coaching; but doesn't need to be acknowledged as the smartest guy in the room wherever he goes.
I only wish you'd take that blueprint you write about and forward it to Jim Engles at Columbia, along with some of your personalized instructions and points of emphasis, starred. Any school MUST do the best job possible in the recruitment of student athletes within the geographic region of the school's location. If your school's in New York City and you can't/won't/or refuse to recruit New York City kids, whatever the reasons; then just get the hell out of there and give some interested party a chance to do the job right!
