Obviously Princeton's academic schedule is not responsible for the back-to-back setup (or for the two teams playing each other before any other opponents), as the teams never played back-to-back in all the many years of that schedule. The folly is entirely to blame for that.

I know that at least some of the other travel partners always started the season with a back-to-back and I always used to pity them for that. The dramatic, natural rivalry of that last Tuesday of the season was pretty compelling.
