Two additional years of eligibility is not possible as he's already used three: 16-17, 17-18 and 18-19. He played in 13 games this season so unless CU plays in 44 games this year he cannot get this year back. Plus, he only has one more year of eligibility in his five-year clock due to his redshirt as a freshman. One gets five years to play four.
I hope the kid isn't getting erroneous advice.
