It’s all based on points. Coaches vote for 1st Team and 2nd Team. Players on the former get two points and latter get one point. The top five (and ties) get 1st Team, then the next five and ties for the 2nd Team.

From there, any players with a certain number of points (I always thought it was two, but maybe it’s being listed on two of the seven ballots - I’m not 100% sure on that) get HM. So if there are five that get two points, then there are five. If there’s one, then it’s just one.

Also worth noting here... without the ties, there would have been 3 on HM, which would have seemed more normal.
