Seriously though, haven’t read much on the impact of the longer 3 point distance. I can anticipate a series of impacts - some seemingly contradicting each other.

Assume some players will no longer be long range options. For instance, Bassey, Juzang and Brodeur come to mind. Guys like Towns, Aiken and Haskett seem to have the range. I’m sure others do as well. However, as rates drop from close to 40% to closer to 30%, will Ivy offensive schemes adjust as well?

Intent of rule was to open the game up, but isn’t there a possibility that defenders drop off of shooters who can’t make the adjustment?

My initial sense is that this change will help teams that are larger and more athletic, possibly to the detriment of Ivy OOC prospects for some matchups.
