The defense, in particular that of Knapp and Dolan was a big reason Cornell came out on top. I believe that Smith came in as the leading scorer in the league and they made him work for every point, he was 5 of 23 from the field and Knapp pestered him for big stretches of the game. Dolan covered him as well and was able to stay in front of him for the most part. With Knapp on Smith and Dolan on Forrest (who had 25 in the first game), Columbia could not get anything going in the second half. Overall, a good win for Cornell.
