The hockey thing especially rankles me because Yale's hockey team has been varying amounts of mediocre since the national championship year in 2013, which coincides nicely with the basketball team's ascent. Why someone would rather go watch the hockey team lose 4-1 to Quinnipiac or St Lawrence or Clarkson or whomever rather than watch their actually good basketball team is frankly beyond me, but then again I suppose I may not exactly be in line with the median Yale student.
