Yes, that is indeed a clueless remark by Lappas. Even ignoring BC's DPOY status, he is also a 2nd team All-PL player. What team is not hurt by losing a 2nd team All-league player?

Maybe Lappas' view on defense is why he essentially got fired by both Villanova and UMass.
