But, don't forget, he must continue his "current level of achievement" which presumably means ppg, rebounds, growth in inches, and freedom from serious injury. 
Not quite sure in which direction your snark extends,  but what it really means is that the player keeps his grades up, doesn't get suspended for school, commit any crimes, etc.
