    In response to SRP

It is true that Mason's height will clearly work against him if and when he tries to play at the next level. He certainly demonstrated in the Baylor game that he has a quick enough first step and a stutter move that allows him enough room to get off his shot against very good and athletic college defenders. His play against Lo this year also confirmed that his first step is a major attribute and he will be very difficult to guard in his final two years at Yale. The question will be if his supporting cast is strong enough.

Coach K is obviously impressed with his capabilities based on the defense that he employed. Apparently, he has quite a bit of prior knowledge as to Makai's abilities.

His game reminds of a type of player that keeps scoring on you and you keep shaking your head as to how can he score so much when you look at his physical appearance. Probably, the reason why he was rated a two star recruit. It is probably an impossible task for the rating entities to evaluate mind and heart and that is why many of their evaluations do not ultimately reflect reality.

Bottom line is that he is a very good player who would be playing at a large number of upper Division I schools if he was ever given the chance.
