I see Sestina is listed as a Sophmore on the bucknell roster. Did his bid for a medical redshirt year get denied or is it still a work in progress? Or is he not even trying to get another year?
I'm pretty sure Bucknell lists athletes' academic year, not which year of their eligibility they're on.
That is correct. Fitzpatrick, Tyree, etc - plus athletes in other sports - have always been listed on the roster by academic year. Also Sestina has three more years to go through the PL process to get an extra year. He has passed the medical hurdle, which was never in doubt, but I'm not sure if he has done the second part yet. That requires him to develop an academic case for staying a 5th year and having it approved by President Bravman. Once that happens, the PL rubber-stamps it.
