You are right Lou, the MAAC really does have a favorable geographic setup. I never really thought about how compact the league is geographically. Loyola being the southermost member may actually commute less miles than Towson though Towson is in the center of their conference. For the NYC based teams in the MAAC the travel is downright minimal.

John, it would be a while before Loyola could compete with Towson in football especially if Loyola joined the non-scholarship MAAC.
