Game was tied with 8:44 left in the first half, then Brown went on a 12-2 run over the next 4 minutes t0 go up 10. Eventually, the Bears went into the locker room up 9.

In the second half, Cornell got the deficit down to 4 a few times in the first two minutes. However, that was as close as they got. Brown extended its lead to 16 with about 8 minutes to go and comfortably won by 11.

Brown had five players reach double figure scoring - Blackmon (17), Anderson (14), Okolie (13), Spieth (11) and Howard (10). Howard ended up with a double -double due to his 11 rebounds.

Despite Cornell's strong conference numbers defending the three, the Bears hit 10 three pointers on 50% outside shooting. They outrebounded Cornell 34-28, forced 11 turnovers and got 7 steals.

Cornell shot 49% overall, but only 29% (6-21) from three. They hit 50% (10-20) from the free throw line.

For the Red, Bathurst had 13, Morgan had 10 and Whiteside scored 10.
