The Red were out of this game within the first few minutes as Penn opened the game on a 15-3 run over the first 9 minutes. The Quakers then extended the lead to 28, 42-14, by halftime.
With about 13 minutes to go, Penn actually got the lead to 30 with 13 minutes to go, and stretched it to 31 2 minutes later. The Quakers coasted the rest of the way to win by 19.
Hatter scored 22 points, while Gettings put in 21 points and Morgan added 12 in the blowout loss.
The team shot 39% overall and 63% (12-19) from the line. For the first time in several games, the team shot well from three (41%, 9-22). Committing 22 turnovers and allowing 14 steals really did the team in on Sunday afternoon. In fact, the Red had more turnovers (15) than points (14) in the first half.
Penn had four double digit scorers - Betley had 22 (plus 8 rebounds), Brodeur had 15, Goodman had 13 and Howard put in 11. The Quakers shot 55% overall and 33% (8-24) from three. They shot a poor 59% (16-27) from the charity stripe, or the loss would have been even larger.
