    In response to Tiger69

Very sweet to have the Ivy Championship Cup presented to the team at Jadwin and everyone had the opportunity to cut down the nets. Special congratulations to Mitch, Cook and Weisz for accomplishing what seemed to be a tough hill to climb after disappointing non-conference play and season ending injuries to Brase and Caruso. The team gave Brase special recognition at the end of the game and you can tell that he is held in special regard by his teammates. You can also tell the team has total respect for Coach H. when he took his turn cutting the net.

Nice touch as they had a 50th year anniversary recognition at halftime for the 1966-67 25-3 team -- all living members attended including Thomforde, Hummer, etc.

One of the top Tiger players in recent times prior to the start of the season surprised several of us when he predicted that the Tigers would go 14-0 and he is not an eternal optimist. He thought that the Harvard freshmen were very good but not good enough to overcome senior leadership and skill level of the Tigers upper class -- a few of us thought he might be off his rocker. The irony is that the Harvard freshmen certainly got better during the course of the season as anticipated but so did the Tigers.

At the end of the day, the Tigers EARNED the IL Championship and by definition, they are the best team in the IL. T

** Boudreaux was swarmed but he has talent and guts and Fleming has guts.
