Tough thing to do with the basketball season ending in early March, a month after the baseball season starts and 2+ months after the pitchers have been throwing. Also hard to fully participate in fall ball in baseball with basketball workouts starting in October. But Ryan Ebner did it for a year, as a pitcher and a hoops PF/C, before fully committing to baseball. If he had thought he would get a lot of minutes going forward in hoops, he might have continued with both - but the arrival of Muscala and Willman likely convinced him his future was in baseball, where he became a very good pitcher.
JC Show had talked about wanting to stick around for another semester to play football. As many recall, he was first team all-state (large school class) for two years - at two different positions. And Starkey competed in track his final year. But I can't remember anyone since Aceto, other than Ebner for one year, who did it in baseball. Way back when, when basketball ended earlier and baseball started later, a few Bison baseball stars were also hoops starters, e.g. Vic Cegles and Chris Riley.
Some recent Bison big men also played baseball in HS: Oberfeld, Sestina, and Klebon to name three.
