Mason injured his right foot last year, but this recent injury is not related to the previous one.
Bruner has surgery on Tuesday.
While the loss of Mason hurts, the Bulldogs do have one of the deepest group of guards in the nation. Besides, the team has been use to playing without him. If all goes well, Mason could be back by the start of league play.
Bruner’s loss will be more problematic since the team is not as experienced at the forward position.
Over the last few years, Coach Jones has been able to find a new player to step up when losing someone to graduation or injury (or the Whiffenpoofs). We’ll see what magic he can create for this season.
Maybe Coach Jones can convince Evan Boudreaux to graduate Dartmouth in December!
