Villanova goes on a 11-4 run in the final three minutes of the first half to go up by nine points at halftime. However, the Lions would be ahead in this game if the just shot the better from the outside. As expected, Coach Engles started a veteran five and then substituted Hunter and Adlesh as well as four freshmen--Faulds, Bibbs, Hanson and Stefanini. All four were impressive in their cameo appearance. There will probably come a time when Columbia's starting five will be Mike Smith and the four aforenamed freshmen. Incidentally, Smith was clearly the best player on the floor for both teams in the first half.
