Agreed. This was, arguably, the worst loss since Coach Earl took over.
The loss at Penn last year was pretty bad -- I think the Quakers were at 100% win expectancy by halftime -- but you may be right.
The offense should be okay. They share the ball and get to the line. Morgan is an elite scorer and Gettings is solid. The turnover issue at UML (which were, as you said, largely unforced) hasn't been a problem in the Earl era, so maybe that was just a one-off. Get Whiteside back and Cornell's best offense since 2011 is possible.
The defense, however, looks awful. Syracuse and especially Colgate shot the ball very poorly, but I can't attribute that to anything the Big Red did. Teams get the hoop far too easily and the scheme generates no turnovers. Julian helps a little on boards (I'm higher on him than you seem to be), but this looks like an issue. Again.
As for the Freshmen, McBride looks like a potential mainstay of the rotation, though I don't know what his ceiling is. Boeheim isn't ready to defend or rebound at this level and, based on his decreasing minutes, it looks like Earl has figured this out. Voss, Kuhn, and Knapp haven't played enough to really know what they bring to the table.
Morgan is worth the price of admission most nights, but more wins would be nice.
