AJ usually guards the 4. That's how Penn plays this year. Didn't necessarily seem intuitive to me either, but the defense has been a strength this year. Rebounding has been a strength as well (and not a strength for Columbia).

As for the matchups when Brodeur or Rothschild sits, it varies by matchup. Sometimes Betley or Jones is essentially the 4, or sometimes it is Scott (when healthy) or Simmons.
