Remember last year when no team that had played on Monday was able to win on Wed. If the Bison cannot end that streak you can rack up 3 more “L’s.”

To be specific, the teams that played on Monday nights last year - thus playing with two days less rest than their opponent - ended up with an 0-10 record in the games played two nights later.

However if that precedent holds, the Bison might only be in line for two losses. I was mistaken when I said the Bison have three Monday-Wednesday doubles. While they have three separate spans with two games squeezed into three days, only two are Monday-Wednesday. The other one is Saturday-Monday, which is much fairer since both teams on Monday will have played on Saturday. Thus equal rest, although Lehigh (the opponent for the Monday game) has two consecutive home games and thus a bit of an advantage.

Over the past two years, there have only been two occasions where a team with two games in three days had to do them both on the road. This week's Bucknell trip to Colgate and then to Loyola is one. And Holy Cross last year had to play at Bucknell on a Monday night and then at Lafayette on a Wednesday night. They lost at LC by 10 points in a game where they were a nominal 6-point favorite. Don't know if they returned to Worcester after playing in Lewisburg or simply went straight to Easton.
