Dartmouth's big men used a good high/low post game to get easy shots inside. And their PG did a good job in the second half of driving and dishing to a big. Dartmouth's D was able to deny penetration in the second half, aside a few times when Anderson asserted himself and got inside for layups or got fouled. For the most part they denied penetration and also were able to get out on our shooters.

We could have used Speith to get the ball at the foul line and make drop down passes to Howard as they did so often early last year. The Bears had no one to handle the high post with dexterity and experience. They got frustrated and clumsy with the ball trying to find decent shots.

Matt DeWolf played 28 minutes and scored 8 points with 13 rebounds. None more critical than on the missed Dartmouth FT with 7 seconds left. He passed to Hunsaker who took it the length and banked a buzzer beater. A learning experience for a young team. And a winning one at that.
