were he to commit, he'd be the second Tom Welch to play hoops for the Orange and the Blue. The first was recruited by and played at least a year for Charlie Woollum and staff, and then played the last part of his career at Bucknell for Pat Flannery and staff. I'm sure B137 can refresh our memories.
The first Tom Welch '97 was a freshman my Senior year, so yes, he played his first season under Woollum and the last three under Flannery. He was a solid contributor, coming off the bench for many minutes even as a freshman and then starting at center after Brian Anderson graduated. Great person too.
