Think you're right about that. Also rankings from the recruiting sites are not the end-all. They aren't as invested in it as the coaches are, especially at the level of recruit we're talking about.

Bruner was a somewhat higher ranked recruit than Brodeur. Who you want now? Sure, the answer could be different if Bruner was healthy but it's unclear healthy Bruner is a thing.

Comparing Brodeur and Lorca-Lloyd - Brodeur had more polish, an unquestioned motor, and was athletic enough. Lorca-Lloyd is more raw relatively speaking but can play, has better athleticism, and a body that many think will fill out well. If Lorca-Lloyd had Brodeur's polish then he'd probably be a good high major recruit.
