    In response to Chet Forte

True, and I feel your pain, Chet. I'd have put tonight's game in the win column if Messrs. Faulds, Hanson and Meisner we're there to take even half the minutes given tononscorers. Still, Bibbs and Hunter were making their first start, and Killingsworth was playing for the first time in a year- do we really know yet that these kids can't score at the D-1 level? But I'm not here to play devil's advocate. I'd prefer to be Mike Smith's advocate; Smith, in fact, saw 4 teammates score in double figures last night. CU shot close to 50% as a team, and Smith, I believe, facilitated the stat coming into being by showing up in distribution mode. And it behooves Smith to prep in the manner from this day forward; not only for the good of the team; not just because his teammates may appreciate his trusting them; but, primarily, because it's a better look for Smith in the beholding eye of European scouts and other potential employers who may have developed reservations about Smith similar to those festering in me. In any event, I believe there's more reason for the Morningside faithful to feel good about the events in Poughkeepsie than not.
