Thanks to everyone for the commentary, as I was unable to watch the game.
I have watched replays of the last play several times, from two camera angles. Cannady made a big error turning the ball over after rebounding the initial missed shot (shades of Penn's mistake on last play against Villanova). Martin had a wide open shot, but missed (the same shot he made against Kansas). Dort covered an incredible amount of ground to seize that last rebound; we are fortunate he missed.
I was most happy to see Much and Desrosiers step up. If only it can continue.
Aririguzoh's free throw shooting improvement since freshman year is incredible.
I wonder if advanced basketball metrics support increased fouling on defense? Intuitively it could work well against teams that shoot free throws poorly. How is Penn as a free throw shooting team...?
