I wasnâ€™t talking specifically about Chip vis a vis sneering at shared titles. But thereâ€™s plenty of sneering.

To be clear the original tweet said â€œin 38 yearsâ€ so it clearly had incorporated Pennâ€™s 70s run.

What was at issue was Pennâ€™s 99 to 07 run with seven titles. My point is merely that Harvardâ€™s run came in a much, much tougher league (and also included 2 NCAA wins). Thatâ€™s uniquely impressive.

There are other uniquely impressive performances in that run as well. Princetonâ€™s 1990s seeding comes to mind. Pennâ€™s run winning all those Ivy games in a row in the mid-90s.

But weâ€™re in a unique league now (when it comes to the AI era). Wins are far more difficult to come by and consistent strong performances should be celebrated.
