- Dolan told the Buffalo News that he chose the Ivy League institution in nearby Ithaca over Canisius, Campbell (N.C.), Colgate, Elon, Siena and Dartmouth. -

- Dolan just completed his prep school season with Northfield Mount Hermon (Mass.), helping the program the win New England Prep Schools Athletic Conference championship and reach the national quarterfinals. NMH won a program-record 32 games.

Dolan averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game for NHU.

Prior to attending prep school for a year, Dolan shined for four seasons as a starter with Williamsville South, earning All-Western New York first team honors three times. He helped the program win two Section VI Class A championships and reach the 2016 state semifinals. As a senior at South, Dolan averaged 28.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 7.1 steals and 6.9 assists per game. -

- "It's more basketball related," the 6-foot-4 Dolan, a two-time All-Western New York first-team selection, told The News. "My grades were fine. I'm using it to kind of get bigger and stronger and just be able to get more used to playing a lot of games in a season, 20 minute halves and to be prepared to make an impact as a freshman coming into college." -

- Dolan has started for South since his freshman year, leading the Billies to two Section VI Class A titles and a state semifinal appearance.

This season his role morphed as he went from more of an offensive distributor to shouldering the scoring load for South. He scored a career-high 47 points in a December win over Cardinal O'Hara and scored 36 points in his final scholastic game, a 97-95 four-overtime loss to West Seneca West in the sectional final. He finished with 2,019 points in his career. -

- Dolan had offers to go to several Division I schools, including University at Buffalo, Canisius, Albany and Dartmouth. He said it was tough to not accept one of those, but feels going to prep school for a year will be beneficial. -
