Here is an updated list showing, for different classes, how many offers the coaching staff had extended as of July 18th of the summer prior to the recruits' senior year:
Class of 2018: 22
Class of 2019: 37
Class of 2020: 23
Class of 2021: 23
Class of 2022: 13
Class of 2023: 0 (ZERO!)
A casual observer might surmise that the staff is on strike, or that all of them are out looking for new jobs. I'm not sure what to think. I'd like to think, as Doctor62 theorized, that they are out pursuing international players - but I'd bet heavily that is not the case. The staff has never recruited overseas before and has not brought in any players who weren't playing in the U.S. when they were recruited.
July 20-24th is the last evaluation period for a while. I can't imagine that some offers won't come soon after that. But then again, I would have bet 50:1 that we would have already seen some offers in the past six weeks.
