While I agree with you that he needs to improve his shooting I totally disagree with rest of your analysis.
There are NOT a lot of players who can both defend and pass in the NBA. If you watched the combines and summer league, it is obvious that there are innumerable quality shooters out there. However, the NBA values players who can BOTH defend and pass.
Look at it from this point of view and ask yourself, why is the NBA interested in Tosan at all, if he is not much of a shooter?? You can learn to shoot (and i believe that Tosan will do that) and you can improve your defense (he is already well above average). But the ability to see the floor, pass and dish out assists are innate skills. You either have them or you don't. You can't teach them.
If Tosan were an excellent shooter, I believe he would have been a first rounder.
