After the disappointing 2 point loss at home to Brown in our second game, the team has done what it has to to get back into the fight for 4th, especially by sweeping Columbia and beating a (shorthanded) Penn on the road. A split this weekend is very important. We can’t give back that victory at Penn AND lose at Brown. That would likely cascade us to a 5-9 finish with a tiebreaker over Columbia but not Brown.

Assuming no competing team upends a member of the top tier, beating either of the P’s sets us at 5-6, either tied with Columbia or a game ahead of both Columbia and Brown entering the final 3 games. The outcome of Columbia vs Brown this weekend, however, should inform as to which of those teams we are contesting for the final slot.

By the way, top 3 are now 19-0 vs the others.
