Fascinating match-up to me. Yale's stregths (offensive rebounding and getting to the line) are Cornell's weaknesses and Cornell's biggest strength (creating turnovers) is a Yale problem. I just wonder,as I have all year, if Cornell can generate enough offense.
Oh, and I have entirely given up on trying to figure Courtney's rotation. I think he just tries guys until he finds five he can stand watching.
A few weeks ago I suggested that Cornell try speeding up the tempo. I was told (politely but firmly) that I was nuts. Which was probably true. But, Cornell has played at a faster tempo -- they are number 33 in the nation in that stat -- and it seems to have magnified their good and bad traits. The defense is improving to a top 100 unit and the offense is regressing to a bottom 100 unit. I guess that's at least more entertaining than being average in both.
