Incoming first-year PG Azar Swain was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Massachusetts. He averaged 23.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game this past season. He was also named the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B Player of the Year.
I won't pay too much attention to the VC info. James Jones has a way of finding "hidden" talent. Do the names Makai Mason and Miye Oni sound familar? They were both NEPSAC Class A Players of the year (Mason, 2014 & Oni 2016) and relatively lightly recruited.
Like most good coaches, Jones and his staff have gotten proficient at identifying players who, while not getting a lot of attention in the recruiting world, are excellent fits for their program. I think you can say the same for Henderson and his staff. This is clearly a recipe for long-term success.
